Chicago | Truth and Community: A Torah Discussion about the Closeted Experience
June 9 at 9:30 am
Is it ever ok to lie? How does concealing the truth impact our relationship with the community? Rabbi Shua Brick will explore our tradition’s nuanced approach to truth-telling, and how these texts can be understood and applied to the closeted experiences of LGBTQ+ people. He’ll also share about his journey getting semikha at RIETS while coming out to himself and to the community.
Join us after Shacharit for a light breakfast, Torah learning, and Q&A with Rabbi Shua Brick. Register below for reminders – walk-ins welcome.
