DESCRIPTION:We are so excited to be kicking off Fall 2026 programming with a special Tzom Gedaliah break-fast event\, in partnership with Jewish mindfulness organization Or Halev. Join us for a special meditation session\, led by Ben Bernstein\, to ease us intentionally out of the fast as we contemplate the aseret yemei teshuvah. Afterward\, we will enjoy a breakfast-for-dinner break-fast! \n6:45pm – Meditation begins \n7:40pm – Fast ends\, break-fast begins \nAbout Or Halev \nOr HaLev is a Jewish path to a more vibrant\, whole and awakened life through mindfulness and innovative Jewish practice. \nOr HaLev offers silent retreats in Israel and the US\, online courses\, weekly sits\, and now local programs via the new Or HaLev Brooklyn Hub. He has studied and practiced meditation through a Jewish lens for over a decade\, most recently as a graduate of Or HaLev’s Gates of Awareness teacher training. He also studied anatomy and the Pilates method at the Kane School of Core Integration. Ben teaches at and manages a mindful movement studio in Manhattan. In his home Jewish community of central Brooklyn\, Ben teaches at Or HaLev’s Brooklyn hub and is the kiddush czar of the lay-led Minyan Atara. He lives with his husband\, Eugene\, and their dog\, Nala. \nThis event is 21+ and free.
