SUMMARY:NYC | Queer and Jewish Textiles Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an engaging presentation on the rich world of Jewish and queer textiles\, led by Jamie Lebovics (they/them)! \nDiscover how textiles in every culture have been used to express history\, personality\, and identity. Explore a variety of textiles with Jewish significance\, such as tallit\, challah covers\, and different styles of head coverings\, as well as textiles with queer significance\, including handkerchiefs for flagging and gender-affirming garments. \nAfter the presentation\, participate in a hands-on workshop where you can express your creativity. We look forward to a fun and inspiring session that celebrates the intersection of these rich traditions! \nRegistration is now closed!
